The challenge
How do you make people care about scientific concepts that are hard to understand? DayTwo is a startup pioneering the microbiome with patented AI that can predict a person’s blood sugar responses to food. But cutting-edge concepts like microbiome sequencing, cell metabolism, and postprandial glycemic response are new and complex. With a stretched budget, our clients needed an engaging way to tell the story of their science and solution without leaving people scratching their heads.
The solution
What that complex science tells us is that the microbiome is as unique as a fingerprint. Identical twins don’t even share the same fingerprint, and they don’t share the same microbiome. DayTwo harnesses that uniqueness to transform how diabetes and other diseases are managed. To turn this understanding into great creative, first we had to build a foundation on smart strategy. Leaning into our understanding and strategy, we shaped the DayTwo story around a pair of identical twins. We created a character-driven story with clear narration, clever animation, and educational analogies to make learning about DayTwo easy and engaging.
